      · Biblical Recipes

🍔 Juicy Herbed Turkey Burgers with Avocado & Slaw

      Cooking Method: Grill or stovetop

Focus: Lean protein, heart health, glowing skin, and all-day energy

      📖 Daily Encouragement Scripture:

"Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him."
      — Psalm 34:8

👩🏽‍🍳 From Me to You, Sis:

Let’s be real, turkey burgers can be blah if you don’t build them right. But these? These are juicy, herby, and so satisfying you’ll wonder why you ever settled for dry patties. And the slaw? Fresh, creamy, crunchy—everything. You’re about to be obsessed.

      📝 Ingredients

      (Makes 4 burgers)

      For the Turkey Patties

      • 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean for juiciness)
      • 1 tbsp olive oil
      • 1 tsp garlic powder
      • 1 tsp onion powder
      • 1 tsp dried parsley
      • ½ tsp smoked paprika
      • ½ tsp sea salt
      • ¼ tsp black pepper
      • Optional: 1 tsp Dijon mustard (no sugar added)

      For the Avocado Slaw

      • 1 cup shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix
      • ½ avocado, mashed
      • Juice of ½ a lime
      • 1 tbsp olive oil
      • Pinch of sea salt and cracked pepper
      • Optional: dash of apple cider vinegar or hot sauce for a kick

      Burger Build

      • Lettuce wraps or sprouted grain buns
      • Tomato slices
      • Red onion rings
      • Extra avocado or microgreens if you’re feelin’ fancy

      🔥 Instructions

      Step 1: Make the Patties

      1. In a bowl, gently combine turkey and seasoning ingredients. Don’t overmix (this keeps them tender).
      2. Form into 4 equal patties and set aside.

      Step 2: Cook ‘Em Right

      Grill Method:
      3. Preheat grill to medium-high. Grill patties for 5–6 minutes per side, or until internal temp reaches 165°F.

      Stovetop Method:
      4. Heat a skillet with a little olive oil. Cook patties 5–6 minutes per side over medium heat, flipping once, until fully cooked.

      Step 3: Make the Slaw

      1. In a bowl, mix all slaw ingredients until creamy and well combined.

      Step 4: Build Your Burger

      1. Layer patty, slaw, tomato, onion, and greens on bun or lettuce wrap. Top with extra avocado if you dare.

      💡 Faith & Wisdom Pocket

Healthy doesn’t mean less—it means living in alignment with God’s best. These burgers are a reminder that you don’t have to compromise flavor to walk in wellness. Sis, you’re allowed to enjoy good food that nourishes and blesses you.

      🍋 Bonus Tip:

Want to meal prep? Double the patties and freeze them raw (separated with parchment). Pull out and cook as needed. These reheat amazing in the air fryer too.
